Giannis possesses a freakish combination of height, length and speed rarely seen in the league. The Zoom Freak 2 was made for Giannis, but designed for every type of player. I took them indoor last week (GYMS FINALLY OPENED!!!) and the traction was actually really good on par with my Omn1s.CONTAIN THE FREAK. No matter how much I try to kill them they just won't die. I actually prefer playing outside in these over the Renew Elevate since the cushion is just Ok on those. The cushion seemed to get better and better the more I wore them now the forefoot I can actually feel the entire zoom turbo unit and it's quite bouncy. The only area that has been flattened is the very outside of ball of my foot and a few parts of the heel.
I thought I'd just wear them out and return them thanks to Nike's 60 day policy, but surprisingly as much I have worn them outside the tread pattern while it did lose rubber has maintained it's pattern quite well. And I was serious when I said that I lost a lot of rubber it was enough to pinch in my hands. About 2 months ago I made a post about how my Zoom Freak 2s pretty much ripped the traction first day I played an outdoor 1 v 1 game.
